About What's Chanhappenin’

Hi, I'm Grayson. I run What's Chanhappenin', a weekly newsletter covering community updates, local events, and business spotlights for Chanhassen and the surrounding area.

I grew up here, moving to Chanhassen with my family back in 2001 when I was six. After a few years away for college at The University of Minnesota Duluth and a stint living in St. Louis Park, my wife and I made the decision to move back home in the fall of 2023. Not long after, we welcomed our son.

Coming back, I wanted to reconnect: to know what was happening around town, get involved in the community, and get to know the local business owners who make Chanhassen what it is. There's a lot of great information out there, from the city, local businesses, and neighbors on social media, but I found myself wishing there was one place that brought it all together in a way that was easy to follow.

So I built one.

By day, I work in account management for a software company in Minneapolis. But What's Chanhappenin' is where I get to do something I truly enjoy: dig into this community, tell the stories of the people and businesses that make it special, and give my neighbors one simple place to stay in the loop.

My hope is simple: to become Chanhassen's trusted voice, the one place residents turn to for everything worth knowing about this town, straight from someone who lives here too.
