Chanhassen Trivia
It's one of the most requested items on the menu at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, and it's been a fixture there for decades. What's the dish called?

Community News
The Ready Together Community Competition Has Its Early Leaders · The Fire Department's neighborhood challenge, which rewards streets for signing up for the free Community Connect safety platform, has its first standings in: Century Trail leads with 8 registrations, followed by Century Blvd/Ct/Pl (7), Saratoga Dr (3), and Brinker St (2). Streets can still climb into Bloom, Grow, or Flourish recognition, and winners get announced at the Sept. 28 Fire Department Open House. See the standings and sign up
Community Center Officially Breaks Ground · The city held a public groundbreaking ceremony last week for the new Chanhassen Community Center, marking the shift from design to construction. The facility will include a multiuse field house, two ice rinks, an indoor walking track and playground, a dance studio, and a 4,800-square-foot community room. Substantial completion is expected in late summer 2028, with doors opening that September. Read more
Road Closures to Know About This Month · Highway 5 construction continues to affect travel between Chanhassen and Victoria. Highway 41 (between Highway 5 and Tanadoona Drive) and Bavaria Road (between Highway 5 and 78th Street) are both closed through mid-September, and Highway 5 itself is down to one lane between Highway 41 and Century Boulevard through late summer. Expect Saturday construction too, generally 7 AM–4 PM, through the season. See detour routes and maps
A Letter of Understanding for Old St. Hubert's · After two and a half months of good-faith conversations, St. Hubert's Parish and the Save Old St. Hubert's Committee have signed a Letter of Understanding for the future of the historic church. The agreement clears the way for a feasibility study: if it identifies $1.5 million in pledges by November 8, the nonprofit will then have 12 months to raise an additional $1 million endowment for ongoing maintenance, following the plan first proposed back in June. It also includes a new detail — once restoration is complete, the building will be open to Christian congregations across the community, not just St. Hubert's parishioners.
The City Is Hiring Rink Attendants for Winter · Chanhassen Parks and Recreation is looking for seasonal Rink Attendants to supervise the city's outdoor ice rinks and warming houses, enforcing park rules and safe recreation practices. Pay runs $14.63–$15.52/hour, and applications are open through November 1. Apply here
